A larger table and heavier frame improve stability when machining bigger parts, while stepless speed control and a digital readout make accurate repeated work easier.

For general workshop use, a 230 V milling machine with an MT3 spindle is often a practical choice. For heavier milling, larger cutters or longer production runs, MT4 and ISO40 spindle machines provide more robust performance. Machines with DRO are especially useful when accuracy, repeatability and faster setup are important.
