BDS RailMAB 915 magnetic drill

The RailMAB 915 is a specialized magnetic drill from the German manufacturer BDS for railway construction. A powerful 1600 W motor, fast rail clamping, and a 1.2-ton clamping force ensure accurate and safe drilling in demanding conditions.

German company BDS, involved in railway manufacturing, introduces two new and completely redesigned “railway drilling machines”.

The RailMAB 915 is a magnetic drill with a 1600 W motor and a 2-speed oil gearbox. It is a special-purpose drill used in railway construction, for example for drilling grounding screws, contact systems, and insulated joints. The machine can be easily attached to the rail with a quick-clamping system; it weighs only 21.5 kg. To ensure the stability required for drilling, it features 1.2 tons of clamping force in its jaw. The versatility of the optionally available “rail adapters” increases the drill’s flexibility and user-friendliness. These adapters automatically determine the height and distance for core drilling or drilling a hole in the rail. The drill features the BDS-specific “rail annular cutter”, part of the CarbideRAIL series of cutters, with a cutting depth of 30 mm and a diameter of 16 mm–36 mm.
