BDS MAB 845 SB magnetic drill

The MAB 845 is BDS’s popular large magnetic drill for demanding steel construction and machine shops. It is equipped with a swivel base (SB), which makes alignment easier. With a Ø 100 mm drilling capacity, tapping up to M30, and excellent safety features, it is a reliable tool for heavy-duty use.

The MAB 845 SB is a version with a swivel base.

This adjustment mechanism allows the machine to be aligned even when the magnet is activated:

    The machine can be moved 30° to the left or right

    And 20 mm forwards or backwards

    Extremely useful when drilling several holes close together (e.g., boiler plates) or when drilling vertically or overhead

Overheating protection – long service life and safety

The MAB 825 / MAB 845 machines have built-in overheating protection that:

    Automatically switches off the motor in the event of excessive heat

    Protects the motor from overload and improper use

    Extends the service life of the device and improves safety

The machine has a built-in automatic coolant system. An LED indicates secure attachment to the desired surface; it lights green when the drill is firmly attached to the base. The controls are ergonomically positioned so they can be operated with one hand. The machine has an emergency stop function: a safety sensor switches off the motor if the magnet loses contact with the material.
