The NOVA 6240 metal lathe is a reliable and precise tool, ideally suited for demanding machining projects. This center lathe has an adjustable spindle speed across a wide 45–1800 rpm range (16 different speeds), enabling flexible work with various metal workpieces. The spindle bore is 52 mm, providing ample capacity for many machining needs, and the distance between centers is 1000 mm, allowing larger workpieces to be handled. The maximum workpiece diameter is 400 mm.
The NOVA 6240’s motor is powerful at 1500/2200 W, ensuring sufficient torque even for complex metal turning operations. The robust, induction-hardened and precision-machined bed ways, with a width of 206 mm, ensure excellent machining accuracy and reliability. Working comfort is enhanced by a halogen work light.
Standard equipment includes a comprehensive range of accessories, such as a cast-iron stand; 3- and 4-jaw chucks (178 mm and 200 mm); steady rest and follow rest; as well as a chip pan, rear chip guard, a flange mounting part (320 mm), a toolbox, and dead centers.
